Portable Multi-Gas Detector
Multi Gas Detector Portable are supplied as either diffusion detectors, measuring the ambient air for gas and vapours, or with a gas sample pump. When it comes to confined space entry, the Portable Gas Detectors are supplied with either an internal sampling pump, or with an external battery powered pump that clips onto a diffusion type detector. The external sample pump allows the detector to be used in both diffusion mode and pump mode in case you need to perform a confined space entry.
Precision Safety Solutions (PSS) offers a wide range of Multi Gas Detector Portable units supplied from the big brands. Most detectors now come with the option of WiFi or Bluetooth, and you can connect your gas detector to a grid of multiple detectors, and be warned when a worker is overcome by gas in the plant or work area.

Portable Multi-Gas Detectors are grouped into two main types of Detectors:
Diffusion Monitors / Gas Monitors with a Sample Draw Pump
Multi-Gas detectors are equipped with a combination of toxic gas, combustible gas and Oxygen sensors. They vary in size and shape, and the number of sensors inside the detectors range between 1 and 6 gases. This ensures that you are protected against a range of possible hazardous gases at the same time, keeping you safe during your work activity.
Multi-Gas Detectors are usually supplied with re-chargeable batteries, and this is due to the sensors requiring power, as well as the demands for portable gas detectors to last more than a 12 hour shift. Carbon Dioxide and Methane gases are detected using Infra-Red sensor technology, which delivers super quick response as well as long sensor life, as they don’t get poisoned by high concentrations of gas.

PSS offer a complete range of calibration gas cylinders and regulators to calibrate your portable and fixed gas detection instruments. The gas mixture in calibration gas cylinders is certified and prepared gravimetrically, using NIST traceable weights. The lot number and nominal value of the gas constituents in volume, percent by mass, PPM, or volume is specified on the cylinder.
